Anything related to the occult, paganism, false religions, magic, etc can create open doors to demons in our lives.

No matter how innocent it feels, any type of involvement can create legal rights for the enemy. Examples include: TV shows, movies, books, games, jewelry, music, and decor with occult themes such as vampires, werewolves, pagan practices, ghosts, paranormal activity, horoscopes, Freemasonry, Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, Mormonism, Gurus, Islam, spiritism, Hinduism, Halloween, Pokémon, fortune tellers, Oddfellows, Shriner, Christian Science, Jehovah’s Witness, Scientology, Buddhism, Harry Potter, tarot cards, pentagrams, Ouija boards, Magic 8 Ball, mediums/psychics, astrology, levitation games, black/white magic, wiccan, spirit guides, crystals for energy/power/spells/healing, witchcraft, satanism, seances, palm reading, astral travel, lucky charms, fairies, satanic rock music, Bloody Mary ritual, hexes or spells, unicorns, mermaids, demon worship, clairvoyance/seeing the future, New Age, Law of Attraction, Voodoo, dabbling in the occult out of curiosity, yoga, eastern religions, burning sage/smudging, energy healing, chacras, Reiki, dream catchers, Dungeons and Dragons, visiting haunted houses, New Age toys, pornography, zombies, aliens, idols, angel cards, praying to angels, angel worship, reincarnation, past lives regression, any involvement with false religions, candle magic, wizards, opening the third eye, acupuncture, hypnosis, meditation (on anything other than the Word of God), any secret clubs or groups where oaths, blood packs, or vows were taken, etc.

I have talked to several people who do not see the harm in watching movies, reading books, or playing games that include items from the above list. They feel like it is all innocent entertainment. I am going to include several scriptures to show how God feels about these things because the Bible makes it clear they are off limits to believers.

Do not turn to mediums [who pretend to consult the dead] or to spiritists [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:31, AMP.

As for the person who turns to mediums [who consult the dead] or to spiritists, to play the prostitute after them, I shall set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them]. Leviticus 20:6, AMP.

But as for the cowards and unbelieving and abominable [who are devoid of character and personal integrity and practice or tolerate immorality], and murderers, and sorcerers [with intoxicating drugs], and idolaters and occultists [who practice and teach false religions], and all the liars [who knowingly deceive and twist truth], their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Revelation 21:8, AMP.

Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19–21, AMP.

You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them]. 1 Corinthians 10:21, AMP.

We must research the origins of everything we are involved with and allow into our homes. For example, I get a lot of questions about yoga and how an exercise could possibly open a door to a demon. The meaning of the word “yoga” is to yoke or join together with a universal consciousness which creates a perfect harmony between the mind/body and man and nature. It is a practice that was created out of Hinduism. Many of the poses were created as worship to their gods.

I have personally cast demons out who said they came in through the practice of yoga. We can even try to put the name ‘Christian” in front of the practice, but we cannot change how and why it originated. There are some things as Christians we must avoid, and anything connected to false religions fall into that category.

We must burn, destroy, and throw away anything related to any of the items on the list above.

We do not want to give the items away or sell them because we should not pass on items to anyone else that would cause harm to their lives and create open doors in them.

The graven images of their gods you are to burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, or you will be snared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned. Deuteronomy 7:25–26, AMP.

And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. Acts 19:19, AMP.
