Personal Reflection on Marriage

Recently my husband (Ronnie) and I went out for a date night. We planned on cleaning the house together as soon as we got home. As we were on our way home the Lord started showing me some things that He wanted me to pray through.

As soon as I got home I went to my office and shut the door to pray. There were some things in my heart from years ago that had really been buried and He wanted to uproot them.

I posted a few days ago about walking through a season of extreme spiritual warfare and intercession. I am also in a season where God is doing a deep work in my own heart and life. I will definitely be sharing more as everything unfolds.

I ended up spending quite a bit of time in prayer and had major breakthrough with the area that God was working on. It was one of those times where He showed me one thing and then I asked Him the root cause and He went deeper and then I asked Him the root cause of that specific thing and then He went deeper and we went layer by layer by layer removing, releasing, and healing as we went.

I just feel so blessed because Ronnie never once came in and rushed the process. When I got out of the office I quickly realized he had cleaned the entire house. He was not angry, and all he wanted was to see what God had done in my life. He was patient as I talked and shared what God was doing. Those are the things that mean so much to me.

He encourages my walk with the Lord and he is obedient to whatever God wants to do in both of our lives. God has done such a major work in both of our lives. A lot of times I don’t even recognize us or our marriage. Since we both went through the process of deliverance in 2020 God has been bringing deeper levels of healing and walking in the identity He has given both of us.

Prior to 2020 I never thought a marriage like this was possible. Ronnie and I both had major walls, brokenness, and bondages because of early childhood trauma, but God did a miracle in both of us. What He did in us He can do in anyone!! No matter what you are facing or what situation you see someone you love in don’t lose hope. God can do in a moment what we could not do in a lifetime.
