Psalm 16:11

When the Lord first laid it on my heart to start Fullness of Joy Ministry He did not give me the name for the ministry. I knew in my heart that I needed to wait to officially name it until He told me what He wanted me to call it. I can’t even remember what I first called the ministry group and page that I created on Facebook as a place for people to connect. I think I just used my name and deliverance ministry. I didn’t like using my name because I never wanted it to be about me, but He had not given me the name so I waited. It was a while before He gave it to me, but when He did I was so overwhelmed. He led me to Psalm 16:11.

Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

When I read that scripture I was immediately reminded of when I first when through deliverance (closing doors to demons and having them verbally cast out in the name of Jesus) in my own life. The day after my deliverance I was walking, kind of skipping, through my house and singing. I ended up in my bathroom and I looked at myself in the mirror. I asked the Lord what it was I was feeling and He said it was His joy. It was in that moment that I realized I had never fully experienced His joy. I had experienced moments of joy in my life, but nothing like this. It was He abiding FULLNESS of joy and my life has never been the same, so Fullness of Joy Ministry was the perfect name!

For me Psalm 16:11 means when we seek God and ask Him He will show us the path He has for us in our lives. He is interested in every single detail and every single step we take. When we fully submit our steps and lives to Him He will clearly show us the path to our lives that He has laid out for us, His plan, His steps, His purpose for us, and that is where His joy is found.

When we step into His presence there is fullness of His joy. No matter what we are facing or going through we can enter His presence through praise and prayer and in that place His joy flows freely for us. We can carry His joy with us every single day and walk in His peace. No matter what life looks like or how chaotic it gets…in His presence is full of His joy. The key to daily walking in His joy is being in His presence and never leaving.

The pleasures that He has for us are eternal. This life we were living is just the blink of an eye, but we get to spend eternity with Him, in His presence where death, sin, and pain will never touch our lives again! If we keep hold of that promise we can walk in His joy no matter what situations we face.

Blessings,
