We lived on a property for 5 years. We planned to live there a long time. We unexpectedly got a move out notice because the owner was selling the property. We had no money to move with and there were no open rentals.
We prayed that God would make a way and just rested knowing He would take care of us. We were so bummed to lose the 5 acre property we loved living on so much.
We were contacted by a friend about a house for rent on a cattle ranch/horse rescue. We looked at the home and felt it was the place for us but we still had no money to move.
We prayed and just rested in knowing God would provide. We were surprised by our dear friend with a check for the full amount of the security deposit which was $950.
We moved into the house and have been living in it for a year. We love it so much that we never want to move. We went from 5 acres to 1600! God showed up, showed off, and blessed our faithfulness

There have been so many times in my life that I have walked through difficult situations that I just did not understand. There have been houses I have prayed that God would allow us to purchase only to have that door closed. In the moment I didn’t understand and I would sometimes feel really sad.
This happened to us when we moved to Texas in 2021. As soon as we got here we started house hunting. We found ones that we loved, but each time we would get out bided, sometimes by thousands. That was back when real-estate was going way over market value.
Years prior to moving to Texas Ronnie (my husband) and I learned to pray for God’s will in our lives, for Him to close every door that is not from Him, and to only open the one that is from Him. We have used that prayer over the years every time we are facing a decision or a door that we need opened. Because of that prayer we trusted His guidance in the house situation, but we also felt like we had no idea what was going on. We thought we were in the area we were going to be living in and it just didn’t make sense. Sometimes we even felt sad because all of these seemingly great houses were passing us by.
We ended up deciding to get a rental because we were not able to find anything to buy. After living in the rental for a while I began to get sick and then we found mold in the house. We knew that for my health we had to get out ASAP, but we had no idea what we were going to do because we had looked and looked for a house and had not found one.
We decided to start searching in towns that were much further out from where we lived at the time. We went over an hour from the town where we were living and found a small town that we LOVED! It is very small just like we are used to and they were building brand new homes for the same price of fixer uppers in the original town where we lived.
We put in an offer and it was accepted right away. Not only did we get an excepted offer, but they were also running a special and they included the blinds, all appliances, extended warranty, a discount on the price, and they paid for the closing cost. It was a brand new house that had never been lived in so there was zero chance of mold issues which was exactly what I needed!
The only issue we had with the new town that we loved so much was the distance it was for Ronnie to drive to work. At that time he was working a ton of forced over time. Many weeks he worked six, even seven, twelve hour shifts a week and it would take him over an hour to get to and from work. He had to drive through Dallas traffic and if you know anything about that you know how bad it is….no fun at all.
We began to really pray and seek God about his work situation and he saw a job that was posted five minutes from our new house! He got the job and it is the best job he has ever had.
When we were having all the doors closed we had no idea why, but God knew and He had a better plan that we could have ever had for ourselves!
I want to encourage you to trust God with every area of your life and every decision. He is faithful!
Blessings,
