We all face temptations. Even Jesus faced them. The important thing is what we do when we are faced with them. Below you will find several Scriptures you can speak over your life when you are confronted by temptations and I have also included a prayer/warfare.

Scriptures

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].

Romans 13:14 But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for [nor even think about gratifying] the flesh in regard to its improper desires.

1 Corinthians 9:27 But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service].

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

Hebrews 2:18 Because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted, He is able to help and provide immediate assistance to those who are being tempted and exposed to suffering.

James 4:7 So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.

Prayer

Father, I am so sorry for the times I have given into temptation. There are times I grow weary and I get weak. Other times I allow myself to walk in the flesh and not in the Spirit. There are also times I get blindsided by the enemy because I neglect spiritual warfare and I fall for the schemes of demons. Lord, no matter the cause please forgive me and cleanse me from every time I have made the wrong choices and allowed temptation to catch me in its snare.

Lord, Your Word says I am more than a conqueror and that I gain an overwhelming victory through You. You loved me so much that You died for me and You give me the victory to walk through every battle and come out a winner. Romans 8:37. Because of You nothing can over take me. You are with me and because of You I am victorious in every situation.

I will accept and clothe myself with Your righteousness. I will walk in Your example. I will not even think about giving in to the desires of my flesh. I will put them far out of my mind. Romans 13:14. With Your help I will crucify my flesh and walk by Your Spirit no matter what situation I face.

I will strictly discipline my body and flesh in order to gain control over its desires. I will not let temptation, my flesh, or ungodly desires cause met to fall and disqualify me from service to You. 1 Corinthians 9:27.

Father, Your Word tells me that no temptation I face is new. They are all common and are part of being a human. There is not one temptation that is beyond my resistance. I do not have to give in! You are faithful, compassionate, and trustworthy. Your Word says you will not ever let me be tempted beyond my ability to resist. With every temptation you will always provide a way out. 1 Corinthians 10:13. Sometimes the way out may be hard to see because my flesh wants to give in so much, but Your Word promises the way out is there! I will always look and recognize You have made a way for me to avoid every single temptation. I thank You so much for making a way out for me every single time!

Jesus, because You suffered and were tempted You are able to help me and provide immediate assistance when I am being tempted and in every suffering. Hebrews 2:18. I love You, Lord, and I thank You for understanding every single thing about me. You will never leave me on my own. You are with me every single step of the way!!

I will do as Your Word says. I will resist the devil and all his demons and they will flea. They have no choice because it is written in Your Word and Your Word is true! James 4:7. I stand on Your Word because it cannot and will not fail. I love you Lord and I thank You for making a way out of every single temptation I could ever face.

Warfare

Listen demons, in all things I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. That means I gain an overwhelming victory through Him in all battles. He loves me so much that He died for me and I walk in full victory through Him. It is not on my own strength, but His. Romans 8:37.

I clothe myself with my Lord, Jesus Christ, and I will not even make room or think about the temptations you try to bring into my life. I will give them zero attention. Romans 13:14. I will be like a boxer who is training for a fight. I will discipline my body so that I will not fall for your temptations. 1 Corinthians 9:27.

There is nothing you can tempt me with that God has not given me a way out of. For every single one of your temptations God has already made a way out for me. He will never let me be tempted beyond my ability to resist. 1 Corinthians 10:13. Jesus understands me fully because He was also tempted. He provides me with immediate help every time I am tempted and when I walk through times of suffering. Hebrews 2:18.

So right now I put you on notice that I do resist you and according to God’s Word you MUST flea. You have no choice so take your temptations and get out in the name of Jesus!
