Fighting in the Body of Christ

For a while the Lord has been laying on my heart some of the issues in the church/Christianity. There are times I weep for the church and the state we are in. In so many aspects we have been rendered powerless.

One of the things He has been showing me is how we are so busy fighting/calling out/looking for fault in each other that we as the church (as a whole) have allowed the enemy (demons) to waltz right in and do whatever they want. We are so focused on each other that we often do not even fight against the demons and that is where the real fight belongs.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

I am not saying that false teaching should be accepted or ignored, but I am saying that in many ways we seem to be out of balance and just want to find fault and fight each other, our brothers and sister in Christ. Where does the anger, name calling, hate, bitterness, jealousy, trying to tear down each other come from? That isn’t God. It is a tactic of the enemy to tear us apart from the inside out and render us powerless.

We read in the book of Acts about the people of God being in one accord/agreement with each other. Not only are we (the church) not in one accord, we are often enemies. We fight, bicker, bully, tear down, condemn, and then we wonder why we seem powerless against the situations we face in life. We are allowing the enemy to run rampant and unchecked. It is time we set pettiness aside, join as one, and focus the fight on the demons where it belongs. Let’s love one another, encourage each other, help disciple one another, come under sound teaching, be open to accountability, and work together for the kingdom of God.

Again, I am not saying that we okay or ignore sin, but we have to do everything in love. We must be driven by love or we are not really coming from a Godly place. Love must be in our hearts and it must be our driving force. If it isn’t, it is time for a heart check and a heart change.

Agreed, I think one of the main things driving the division is ignorance of the enemies tactics, how they fight and of deliverance.

They don’t realize the enemy is within and how much of their own personal conduct is driven off those subtle suggestions of the enemy.

My people are perishing for lack of knowledge.

    Blessings
