Sometimes we think about missions in the terms of missionaries who go overseas to very dangerous areas to share the gospel, but the truth is we all have a mission field. Take a moment and look around at your family, workplace, community, church, online community, etc. Every where we look there are people who need to hear the gospel, receive prayer, and make Godly connections.

It is really easy to get so caught up in our own lives that we do not see our mission field all around us. I want to encourage you to pause, right now, and start taking stock of those in your realm of influence. Ask yourself who needs the message of hope that you carry? How can you share the message with them? Who can you pray for? Who can you witness to? Who can you share your testimony with?

As you begin to think of people start thinking about how you can minister to them. Pray and ask God to open doors that only He can open for you to minister to others and then start. Don’t wait for the perfect time, don’t wait to feel ready, don’t wait…..start now. Today is the day people need to hear about the Lord. So many are desperate and they need the Lord. You may be the only one that will reach out to them. You have the Answer they need. Don’t let fear stop you. Do it afraid if you have to.
